Date
April 2014
Location
Castel Lagopesole, Italy
Role
Exhibition Designer
Under the umbrella of the SEE/B/0016/4.3/X Project SAGITTARIUS a new cultural heritage infrastructure has been introduced in Southeast Europe. The main aim is to facilitate cognitive-emotional experiences in cultural heritage environments by effectively communicating cultural values to non-captive audiences. A 3-component Roving Museum (RM) is operated in seven countries (GR, BG, HR, HU, IT, RO). The Exhibition is accessible via 110 Quick Response Codes leading to 110 cultural objects in seven countries (GR, BG, HR, HU, IT, RO, MD). The Exhibition is connecting 110 geolocations in 7 countries through 110 cultural narratives. The Exhibition restructures the learning paradigm in heritage settings and support the ideal that a new, industry-related “heritagescape” can provide for recovery and innovation, growth and jobs across the EU. To promote heritage values and effectively bridge the gap between asset and user and thus create an added value cultural experience, the Exhibition connects the tangible form of the object to its intangible dimensions, symbols, meanings, inherent and social values. The Exhibition reshapes cultural consumption types in the creative economy considering how these changes are affecting the consumption pattern. The Exhibition, available in English and the national languages, has taken place in Castel Lagopesole, in Lagopesole Italy in 2016 under the umbrella of the Region of Basilicata.
